It is convenient to shop online because it saves us time and gas usually spent going from store to store (gas is expensive these days). Often we find internet stores have lower prices on their products even after including shipping costs, because they don’t have the high overhead that mall stores have.  Online shopping allows us to see many products from different countries around the world, and they are cheaper because they often directly ship from the factory.   

Amazon is like a huge store that keeps used and new products from everywhere. There are a wide range of choices and prices on the same product, allowing the customer the lowest price possible. It is amazing how the shipping schedule is always on time, and we have been very pleased with its service.  Ebay is almost the same as Amazon but with the added advantage of allowing us to bid (like you would at an auction) in order to buy things at the price you want.  Furthermore, Ebay grades the quality and reputation of its vendors.  This allows the consumer to make a safe and informed decision about who to buy product from.  

A crucial point to be a ware of when purchasing online is that the means of payment is secure.  In these times of identity and credit card theft, it is essential to do.
